cartoning machine

Cartoning Machine Sourcing is an independent sourcing partner for dedicated cartoning machine procurement. Plant buyers send carton dimensions, product collation method and destination so factories can return comparable wholesale quotes. This service does not operate a cartoner factory and does not publish a market discount percentage.

Request Factory Quotes

Documents before quotation

  • Drawing or process description

Carton blank style, length/width/depth in millimetres, product stack or blister presentation, leaflet or inner wrap, and whether loading is end-load or another insertion path. Name who supplies collation, counting and presentation to the loading point.

  • Operating conditions

Duty cycle, required throughput with the named pack rather than empty-machine cycle time, three-phase supply, compressed air demand, footprint and work envelope, quantity, destination and the delivery window.

Missing carton millimetre data, the least stable stack, or leaflet presence usually forces a clarification round before quotes can be compared. That delay is a document gap, not a factory defect advertised by this site.

Resolve procurement unknowns

A cartoning machine RFQ is comparable only when buyers and factories write the same insertion path, tooling boundary and restart check. Unknowns left in marketing language reappear as change orders after award.

Known input
Carton size range, product collation, leaflet presence, intended cartons per minute under the named pack, quantity and US destination. Public Kliklok BEC notes list millimetre carton limits, pocket pitch and changeover minutes as a unit example, not as this site’s offered machine.
Supplier confirmation
Which product collation and insertion devices are supplied, whether a product confiner or guide is included, which cleaning environment is in the actual configuration, and which carton dimensions are recipe-adjusted versus manual setup.

Product changeover questions for a cartoning machine

What changes between products?

Format range is the set of carton sizes and product stacks that must run on the same frame. Ask which of length, width and depth are recipe controlled, which need handwheels, and which need extra parts. Cycle time must be stated on the slowest acceptable pack, not on an empty belt.

What must be cleaned or replaced?

Change parts often include carton magazines, insertion buckets, leaflet folders and closing tooling. A dry packaging room and a room that sees wet wash-down are different construction offers. Write the cleaning chemicals and exposure into the inquiry instead of borrowing a family-page rating.

How is the first good output verified?

Restart checks should use the least stable stack and the most restrictive carton opening. Inspect scuffing, crushed edges and incomplete insertion, then record complete acceptable cartons delivered to the next machine. Feeder speed is not the same as saleable throughput.

Duty and operating envelope

Which procurement scope is covered by cartoning machine?
Material entering the machine
Feedstock here is the carton blank plus the product stack, blister card or inner wrap presented to the loader. Unstable stacks, leaflets and rejected packs change feasibility even when carton millimetres sit inside a published range.
Required output
Throughput must name cartons per minute of complete, undamaged packs under the buyer’s product, not only a nominal machine speed. State how rejected cartons are counted against that figure.
Duty cycle
Operating schedule, shift length and how often size or leaflet recipes change. A one-size pharmaceutical carton and a multi-SKU food carton need different changeover and cleaning assumptions.
Which product collation and insertion devices are supplied?

Ask the factory to list infeed belts, stacking, counting, leaflet insertion and any product confiner as included or extra. Syntegon’s public end-load cartoner page is a document pattern for those questions; it is not an affiliation or a stocked model of this service.
